Long questions, asked properly — the part of a medical degree where you stop quoting evidence and start producing it.
In print
Collaborations with colleagues in other departments, mostly from earlier training years. A case report describes what happened to one patient — it records an unusual presentation, it does not establish what generally works.

Why this matters
A thesis teaches you one uncomfortable thing: how often a confident clinical impression falls apart once you count it properly. You spend two years discovering that what “everyone knows” is sometimes just what everyone repeats.
Trial work teaches the second lesson — that the honest answer to “does this work?” is frequently “we are still finding out”, and that saying so is a professional duty rather than an admission of weakness.
What you get from that: when I tell you a stent, a valve or a tablet is the right move, it is because the evidence supports it — and when the evidence is thin, you will hear that too, in the same plain words. That is the whole point of doing the reading.
